Carolyn and Rusty will be all over Boston between Wednesday, October the 28th and Saturday, October 31st. We are excited to show our friends and family some cool places to have espresso martinis, taste some authentic Italian, while being entertained by the history and quaint urban spots.
Grab lunch or an appetizer and cocktail at Union Oyster House (Boston’s oldest restaurant) and then walk the Freedom Trail. You don’t need to pay for a tour, just follow this map (thefreedomtrail.org) and guide Explore the Freedom Trail in Boston, MA | Walking Tour (meetboston.com). Along the way, you’ll get a great feel for a lot of the city. Faneuil Hall is a great place for souvenirs. It can be as long or as short as you want (1-4 hours or more). There are a ton of underground pubs / happy hour spots in the Financial District if you want to grab a predinner cocktail. There are a million small Italian restaurants in the North End – some you can pop into where they seat family style and some that require reservations. Carmelina’s is a fan favorite (I think it does require reservations). It’s great to end the night with a treat at Mike’s Pastry (possibly a line) and a stroll through Chinatown (after dark so you can see all the lights).
If you’re a beer fan, you can tour the Sam Adams Brewery not too far from Fenway.
Boston has a way of making every visit feel personal. It’s a city where history meets everyday life, best explored one walk, one meal, and one conversation at a time.
Begin with a relaxed lunch or a cocktail at a classic local spot, then wander through streets that tell stories at every turn. Follow the Freedom Trail at your own pace, stopping whenever something catches your eye — a historic building, a cozy café, or a hidden courtyard.
As the day unfolds, explore lively markets, tucked-away pubs, and neighborhood corners that feel effortlessly authentic. When it’s time for dinner, the North End offers endless Italian options, from spontaneous walk-ins to intimate reservation-only experiences.
Boston isn’t rushed. It invites you to slow down, explore freely, and enjoy the moments in between.
Some places stay with you long after you’ve left. They’re built from laughter around the table, familiar faces, and moments shared without rushing. Here, every visit becomes a memory — whether it’s a quiet evening, a celebration with loved ones, or a spontaneous gathering that turns into a tradition.
This is where comfort meets connection. Where stories are told, relationships grow, and every return feels just as welcoming as the first.
